These are such a HUGE improvement on my old tupperware organisation system! All 10 of these happily stack together without toppling over, you can grab the bottom one and carry the whole lot.
I still have approximately 20 more to make before my sewing/kitting odds and ends are in order, But I was so excited to have some organisation, I figured I should upload them ASAP incase you were needing some organisation too.
Best of all, they were FREE!
The cardboard I used is the back of writing pads i had lying around (this is why a few are a slightly different colour) I found the template for the Hex-box at "Evil mad scientist" they make theirs out of cereal boxes, which is another free source of carboard. I just dont tend to have boxed produce in my house, and for the amount of boxes i needed to make, i wanted a more standardised thickness of card.
They use sticky tape to attach the bands around the hex boxes, secured underneath & on the outside. I used double sided sticky tape instead, for a neater & more secure finish.
The labels were made with a standard windows 'word' template. These can be found under:
new-labels-gift labels-holiday food gift labels
but im sure you could always design your own too.
In any case... I much much prefer it to this organisation travesty I had previously

The cardboard looks prettier, too! I love your labels. Do you make house calls? Ha! Ha!
ReplyDeleteHaha, thankyou! I wish I could... I think organising for a living would be bliss :)
